Mount Elbrus is one of the 7 summits. It's West summit is 5642 m high, the East one is 21 m shorter -  5621 m. 

Mt. Elbrus is situated between the Black and the Caspian sea on territory of the Russian Federation, only 20 km from the Georgian border. Mount Elbrus is a dormant volcano. The last explosion occurred about 2000 years ago. The two summits of Elbrus are in fact two craters of volcano. Everywhere on it's slopes you can see debris of solidified lava

Day 1: Meeting at Mineralnye Vody Airport

Meeting at Mineralnye Vody airport from 10:30am. Our representative will meet you in the airport arrival hall. We take a bus ride to the hotel in the Baksan valley near the foothills of Mt. Elbrus (approx. 3hrs). On this day you can hire equipment which will be necessary for the trek if needed. Such as boots, poles, glasses, jacket, thermos, etc. 

Day 2:  Cheget Peak

We will take a acclimatization hike up to cable car station, Cheget-3 3000m on Mt. Cheget or Terskol Peak 3150m. This will be the last day before you leave the valley, after the hike if needed you can visit the equipment store in order to hire anything. Your guide will help you choose the right equipment should you need any help.

Day 3:  Cheeper Azau

This is the day when you move to the mountain hotel Cheeper Azau, located at an altitude of 3000m near the cable car station Old Horizon (“Staryy Krugozor”). You can leave all unnecessary items at hotel. It will not be necessary to carry your backpacks yourself because the group will reach the hotel using ski lifts. There is only a short distance of 30m to walk from the cable cars to the hotel.

After lunch, we will make an acclimatization climb to the the highest cable car station in Europe Gara-Bashi 3847m or to the Mir station 3455m, depending on weather conditions and the physical condition of the group members, visiting the scenic Sarykaya-Su waterfall along the way. We will stay overnight in the hotel Cheeper Azau.

Day 4: Pastukhov Rocks

Today we climb by cable car to the comfortable and modern mountain hut Heart of Elbrus, located at an altitude of 3830m. This is 50 meters from Gara-Bashi station. After climbing to the hut we will leave our bags there, put on our climbing equipment and make another acclimatization trip to the Pastukhov rocks 4800m.

Day 5: Day of Relaxation

Today we will conduct a ice and snow course with your guides not far from the refuge. The guides will teach you how to put on crampons and how to walk in them correctly, he will also show you techniques of self-arrest with an ice-axe.

Day 6: Day 6. Summit day

Today is the big day! The groups leave the hut at around 03:00-04:00 For most groups, the ascent to the Elbrus' west summit, 5642m This takes 7-9 hours. The summit is usually reached at 10:00-13:00 depending on the groups ability. Descent from the top to the hut takes 4-6 hours, after which you will have dinner and stay overnight in the hut.

Day 7: Reserve Day

This is a reserve day in case of bad weather on the previous day. If we need to attempt the summit on this day, it is necessary to descend to the valley same evening by all means, though it may be hard it is because the ski lifts stop working at 16:00. After the descent to the hotel, you will have a gala dinner and presentation of certificates on climbing Elbrus. If the whole group went down to the hotel on the previous day, we can arrange an excursion to the most beautiful sights of the Elbrus region: Lake Gizhgit, Chegem Waterfalls, the Thermal complexes Geduko or Aushiger.

Day 8: Departure Day

We drive to Mineralnye Vody airport early in the morning at 06:30 - 07:00 to be in time for the flight which usually departs at 11:30am. If you need to be at the airport earlier or your flight departs much later than 11:30, you can order an individual transfer. If you want to continue your vacation in Elbrus region, we can extend your stay at the hotel for an additional fee and provide you with a return transfer to the airport at no extra charge on any days of arrival and departure of our groups.
