This 6 day tour we will take you to Cusco’s most popular tourist attractions. You will be able to experience magical places like Chinchero, Moray ruins, Salt mine, Pisac ruins, Ollantaytambo and to finish your wonderful excursions, you will explore the lost city of the Incas “Machu Picchu" one of the seven wonders of the world lead by an expert local guide. You will finish your excursions by hiking to the incredible Rainbow Mountain of Peru.

Day 1: – Arrival to Cusco

Upon your arrival to Cusco, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest from your travels and to get acclimated to the altitude, you can also explore some of the ancient Inca Streets or some of the amazing sites Cusco has to offer.

Day 2.- Chinchero – Maras - Moray – Salt mines – Cusco

In the morning around 8:30am we’ll pick you up in the lobby of your Hotel, we then have a 40 minutes bus drive to arrive at the fertile plain of Chinchero full of farming fields & beautiful landscapes, at Chinchero we will stop to see the locals weaving centre and interact with the Native locals. We will continue our drive to the town of Maras, which has nice colonial doorways made of stone, unique to the Cusco region. Next we head to the Inca ruins of Moray called “the Inca laboratory”. The guides will show us this wonderful place and we will walk around and do some exploring.
We then drive to the Salt mines with beautiful views of Urubamba Mountain range until we arrive at the salt pans of Salineras, where we will be able to observe the fascinating salt mine owned by the locals, with more than 3000 pools still in use today. These salt mines date back hundreds of years. To finish the tour, we will drive back to Cusco to rest and be ready for another great day.

Day 3.- Sacred Valley of the Incas -Pisac Ruins – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

Today we will drive toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. On the way we will visit the weaving centre of Awana Cancha where we will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen and to purchase their hand-made textiles if they take your fancy. We will then stop at the Mirador of Taray to take in the views of the Urubamba valley. The valley has crops that dress the mountains like carpets. We will arrive in the ruins of Pisac to see the great Inca architecture. Afterward, we will continue to the town of Urubamba to enjoy our lunch. After lunch we will visit Ollantaytambo, an attractive town of Incan origin with remarkable water channels and stone streets. There is an impressive ceremonial centre that pays homage to the water and a fortress that guarded the access to the interior part of the valley. In the afternoon you will have a beautiful train ride to Aguas Calientes.

Day 4.- Machu Picchu (7 wonders of the world !!)

In the morning after breakfast, we will board one of the buses which will take us to the magical centre of the Incas “Machu Picchu”. A professional tour guide will talk us through all the history of this mysterious and mystical place (Sun Temple, Royal Palace, Main Temple, Three Windows Temple and Sun Dial). It will be an unforgettable experience! After the guided tour you will have some free time to relax around this wonder of the world. some take the time to hike to the Sun gate or the Inca Bridge. once we are ready and seen what we came for we will head down to Aguas Calientes by bus and then return to Cusco.

Day 5.- Cusco – Llaqto – Rainbow Mountains – Llaqto– Cusco

Today we travel to Vinicunca Mountains, trekkers will be picked up from Cusco hotels at 5:00 am and then you will drive through the south valley of Cusco to the trail head at Llaqto (4,626 m / 14,650 ft).
On the way to Llacto village we will stop and have a delicious breakfast. Making sure we take some essentials like jackets, hat and gloves with us just in case it gets nippy we will start this extraordinary hike uphill on a beautiful gentle path. We will be able to see Llamas and Alpacas on the way. This region is home of some indigenous Andean people who own those beautiful animals. On the way to the rainbow mountains we will get some spectacular views of the glaciers.
The trek usually takes around 2hrs to reach the Winicunca Mountains (rainbow mountains 5,100 m / 16,500 ft) Once we reach the lookout point there will be plenty of time to explore the area and admire this spectacular Mountains. Once we are done we will start to head back down. In the afternoon after a delicious lunch we will drive back to Cusco arriving to your hotel around 4pm.
All in all the hiking is about 8 km / 5 miles today.

Day 6.- Cusco – flight back to Lima

In the morning at the scheduled time, we will pick you up from the hotel and transport you to Cusco airport ready for your flight home.
