Itinerary
The Welsh 3000s 24hr Challenge
We would be setting off just before first light at Pen y pass. This means the hardest section of Crib goch is done with fresh legs. Next is Garnedd Ugain and onto Snowdon. We then drop part way down on the railway track and descend into Nant Peris village. A Support vehicle will be waiting here so you can take on food and water and replenish supplies. We then Start to climb onto Elidir Fawr then along Glyder ridge to finish on Tryfan and then Descend into Ogwen valley. Our Vehicle will be waiting here with supplies for the final push. We Start to climb onto and traverse Carnneddau 3000ft peaks. We finish near Aber falls were the victory party will be waiting along with the vehicle to take us back to pen y pass.
The Total distance covered is 50km with close to 4000m of ascent.

We will always endeavour to complete every challenge but in certain severe weather conditions we may have to re – assess the situation and make a judgement call.
Equipment
With it being a challenge try and travel as light as possible it’s all personal preference but we recommend a 25/35 litre daysack for (water bottle, sun cream, snacks, waterproofs, warm kit, camera, personal first aid kit etc) All other kit can be left on support vehicle.
